SKF Precision Technologies presents new ways to improve machining center performance
Grafton,
WI, May 3, 2000 (For Immediate Release)
SKF Precision Technologies is pleased to present new ways that its
integrally motorized or belt driven spindles can improve dedicated
machining center performance. Now two operations can be completed
without the need for a tool changer or new setup.
Gain some of the benefits of high speed machining by adding a
high speed spindle to an existing machining center. A secondary
high speed spindle can be attached alongside the main spindle
on a CNC machine, leaving the main spindle available for slower,
heavier cuts. In the case illustrated, the belt driven secondary
spindle drills alignment holes after traditional milling was performed
on a piston machining transfer line. SKF Precision Technologies grinding spindles
can also be added for deburring and finishing operations.
SKF Precision Technologies, a unit of SKF USA Inc., is an ISO 9001 and 14001
